“It’s easier to be a confident dreamer than a confident beginner who actually picks up a pen and starts writing words.” Yes, exactly! Love your thoughts!
Yes to all of this! Also, I laughed because I thought I knew what picture book you were talking about, but I was thinking of a different one (Still Stuck by Shinsuke Yoshitake). 😂 Now I need to read this turtle one, too!
I enjoyed your most recent article. It helped me put things a little more into perspective. I have known the basics of sewing since high school Home Ec. class. But now as a senior adult it has never moved beyond that. I hope as a beginner writer my skills do not become stagnate that I will read, study and practice my writing skills daily and continue to grow and develop.
Yep, that's how cats operate. We have cats in my neighborhood that consider our house and yard their turf. Needless to say it makes my cats go completely bonkers.

Hope you are having a wonderful May, Julie!
Ohhh, I love Still Stuck SO MUCH. It's so great.

I would say that knowing the basics, and practicing them regularly, will slowly and steadily move you beyond the basics.
I needed this today. Thank you 💚
I love the pissed off look the cat gave your dog. Cats are so territorial.
The best part is, that's not even that cat's house. The cat was just territorial about, like, its energy sphere.
