I come to you today with the second episode of my extremely occasional interview series. Today I’m talking to E.B. Goodale about her new picture book, Robin and the Stick, which she both wrote and illustrated. Robin and the Stick is a sweet story about determination and orienting in the world around you (and about doing the work!) and is the first book in a series: Robin and the Moon comes out in October (available for pre-order now!) and Robin and the Flowers will be published in the spring of 2027.
You can watch E.B. Goodale and I talk in the video above, or listen to the audio by clicking on the “listen” tab, or read our conversation as a transcript by clicking on the “transcript” tab (both of these tabs are in the Substack app or at Substack.com).
If you’re interested in pre-ordering a signed copy of Robin and the Stick, you can order by 4/15/26 from Brookline Booksmith, and you’ll also get an exclusive print (the print is so lovely, click on over to check it out).
Find E.B. Goodale on her website, subscribe to her Substack, and be sure to check out the upcoming events on her website if you’re in Massachusetts or New Hampshire, including the book launch in Salem on April 11th.
