I feel this! I remind myself all the time of the Ron Swanson quote from Parks & Rec: "[Elayne,] never half-ass two things; whole ass one thing." It's weirdly helpful advice!

I THINK ABOUT THAT ALL THE TIME. It just inserts itself into my brain. I do my best not to say it out loud. Because it would get repetitive.

LOL! That makes me feel better about the way my brain works that you also have this "thing." Bonus: now I can ping-pong between Ron saying it sometimes, and other times imagining you telling me the same thing. 😂

It's many layers, because it could be regular me saying it, or it could be me doing a Ron Swanson impression.

<claps excitedly>Aww, you "get" me! LOL! In return, feel free to imagine me doing my best Tom or Donna impression, "Treat yo' self!" when you need it!

I watched this while waiting for my vehicle to get undercoating and planned out the rest of my morning. Is this multi-tasking?

In all seriousness, yup to this.

I think as long as you weren't personally doing the undercoating, it's all good. (Though now I am imagining you writing an essay about getting creative ideas while doing your hobby, undercoating cars.)

I love this -- I read something about treating all those tasks like walking meditation which is a cool idea. I tried it while washing the dishes and it felt great. Did I keep it up? No 😂 So thanks for the reminder!

I have heard that too and also think it's great and ALSO think it's extremely difficult to remember to do that every time. To treat every laundry folding and dish washing as meditation. I think if we can remember to do the thing as calmly as possible without future tripping TOO much, we're doing all right.

I totally agree ❤️ Also have you found it easier to get in that calm mode after time away from social media?

DEFINITELY! I have found that social media put me in an agitated state that then stuck around for every other task in my day.

Yes! It has been so cool to see the impact of less time on social media. And also scary too 😂 What have we done to ourselves?
