I love this message. I don't think most people (including myself) even know who they are (apart from the surface of their needs/desires). They are either on autopilot due to all of life's obligations, which tend to pull us in a million directions, or, if they do have time to contemplate things or write a book, they think they have to figure out ways to please others, sacrificing their own truth (and potential happiness) to others for success. I think this reminder is important and it's come at a time that I needed it. I think others will also find it helpful.

Btw, I discovered you/your Substack via Mark's letters with you. I'm super glad too!

Yup yup yup, all of this, Autumn! Being on autopilot + people pleasing. I'm just coming to a place of really realizing that pleasing myself, and truly figuring out who I am and what I'm driven to create, will end up connecting with more people.

So glad you found me via my letters with Mark! I'm excited for this week, which will be all about fooooood.

Julie, this reminder was exactly what I needed to hear today. I believe a huge part of what makes something connect with others is the unbridled love that goes into that thing, so this all tracks/clicks/ding-a-dings for me.

Happy Monday!

YES, I agree. I think it's the unbridled love PLUS having it be something that you're curious about and interested in -- something YOU want to write about. So glad to ding-a-ling for you!

According to my dog, Coco, a border collie lab mix, it's butter. And she would like me to stop writing and go for even more long walks.

Coco is probably on to something. Butter + long walks is a pretty good formula.

A simple but important reminder. Thank you!
