As was the case with almost every YM quiz I took, I am split. LOL! 29% messy, 29% procrastinator and %14 of the other three (each the same). 😂

Umm putting this book on hold right this minute! I’m a Parisian perfectionist with a hint of messy. Also I love the idea that once you start you are already on step two. So encouraging!

Can't tell you how much I appreciated this message this week! I immediately got on my library's website and put the book on hold. Can't wait to read it.

I am more than a little obsessed with it (as you can probably tell). Can't wait to hear what you think!

I am a messy perfectionist and it is so me. I am looking into this book. I have struggled so much with perfectionism and it is blocking my ability to produce a work to seek publication. I also recently wrote a poem about perfectionism in my last substack, so we are on the same page here. I look forward to more from you and watching your journey! Thanks for sharing.

I think you'll really like this book, Alexis. It's all about working WITH perfectionism (claiming it as a superpower!) rather than trying to fight hard to rid ourselves of it.

I love that idea. I just put it on hold from library (but am tempted to buy it). It’s so hard to think of myself as a perfectionist because o am so scattered and “messy” but I think I lack conviction to finish things because of that perfection. Anywho. Way to get me thinking deeply about myself this morning!!!

Not to be too dramatic, but it sounds like it might be as mind blowing for you as it has been for me. Get it from the library! Might as well. Then you can decide whether or not to buy it. That's what I did, at least.

Writing & the business of being a writer. One of those things is so much harder! One of those things involves going in weird directions and not knowing where you'll end up but trusting it anyway! I'll do the business of being a writer all day if it means I don't have to sit down and face the blank page.
