I hear you on your phone...but what about putting it on the glovebox? (I'm too scared to not have my phone available for emergencies...but then again, my kid just started driving, so that's probably natural, LOL.)

I do put it in my glovebox! Or also I am good about not using it when I'm driving, since you get a huge ticket for touching your phone while driving in Maine, and I am such a rule follower (also: it's a good rule/law). But no one has ever needed me from 5:45 to 7 am when I'm at spin (and if they did, they could call the spin place, I guess). It's more me figuring out when I don't need my phone. And that maybe it's most of the time, that I don't need it.

There is that certain type of business/pop psychology book that is dry and full of nothing (the kind that should have been an article) and I do appreciate the Newport books have a lot more stuff in them. Mostly I read them (the ones I've read) and am like "ohhhh, noooo" because I realize how much of all of it -- deep work/focusing/getting off social media/working hard at what matters to me -- I still need to work on.
